GiGi's Visit

Mom came up for a visit to hang out and play! We had so much fun! We worked in a salon visit for her to get a new 'do' which looks amazing! After the salon, we headed to the park to let Caden play.

Here is GiGi helping him down the steps.I had to get in on the swinging action! I felt like a kid again!

After the park, Mom and I totally cleaned out Caden's room and gathered bags and bags of stuff to take to the Collin County Child Advocacy Center. THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM FOR HELPING ME REARRANGE HIS ROOM! I had so much fun.

After the Caden Room Makeover, we headed to On the Border for dinner compliments of GiGi!

Fun at Home

Caden got out his putter so I had to show him the proper form, etc...Clearly he forgot everything I taught him. Here he is whacking at it.Oh well...I tried.Caden and Daddy were at the computer tonight before dinner so Tim decided to mimic Caden. Judging by Caden's eyes, he was not amused.

'Oh yeah Daddy? So you can put your thumb in your mouth, but what about your index finger?''Oh...wow, you can.'

'I bet you can't put your fingers in your ear...''Wow, my Daddy is such a show off....I can't pull anything over on him.'

The Time Has Come

Well the time finally came. We converted Caden's bed to a toddler bed...sniff...sniff...

Here are my guys getting the job done. Caden did whatever Tim would do.Look at him trying to put the screw right in the hole for Daddy.

'What Mommy? We're busy doing guy things over here.'

'Daddy, I think we need to tighten this bottom one just a bit more.'

It was all finished and we held our breath as he tried it out.

He had to take a look inside first.
Then it was time to crawl in!He had to find just the right way to get in.
Then he had to turn on the aquarium.

'Hmm...I kinda like this...no more wall in the front...It could work!'

It only took us about an hour total for him to figure the whole thing out once we laid him down. He got up and ran to the door the first time crying. I don't think he knew what to do with his new found freedom! Then we would talk him back into bed and he would lay down and look around. Not too bad for his first time as a real 'big boy'!

Afternoon with the Sarratts

J, Jamie, Stetson and Cassidy came over for the afternoon after the guys played golf. We had such a great time catching up and just hanging out. Us girls hung out in the shade while the guys hit the pool!

Tim and I in the past have had trouble getting Caden to put on floaties, but one look at Stetson with his on and Caden had to have his as well! Thanks Stetson for helping Caden get over his fear!

KEYS!

This morning Caden was fascinated with 'KEYS' when I told him it was time to go to school.

'Mommy I think it is time to go, you should give me the keys.'

'Keys! Keys! Keys!'

'Tat-U Mommy....Keys!'

'Which key starts Mommy's car?'

'Now which button makes the car alarm go off? That's my favorite button!'

'They all look the same, I've walked around with them, but now I'm not sure which one to use.'

'Okay Mommy, you get my bags and your purse, I'm going to go start the car for you.'

'What? You have to be 16 years old to drive? How many more years do I have to wait?' 'By the way, Thank you GiGi for my outfit. Mommy loves me in red. Thank you Daddy for my cool Thomas the Train light up shoes! I love stomping around showing you and Mommy how they light up!'

Before Church Today

Before church started-as we always do-Caden and I had to visit Dad in his office. Caden loves running down the hall to Dad's office.Caden also loves for Poppa to tickle him!

My Birthday Party

I had my family birthday party for myself at Mom and Dad's this weekend. We had so much fun! Dad cooked a brisket and Mom made all the sides and my sister was in charge of the birthday cake. As you can see it looked lovely and tasted even better!Here we are before opening my gifts. Lane, me and Caden.

My Mom and Dad got me a Mr. Rogers book of sayings as well as John Grisham's new book, some tops, a bookmark and picture frames. I LOVED Mr. Rogers as a child and enjoyed watching his show ALL the time! I was super excited about this book as you can tell in the picture of me, Lane and Bella!

Kari and Scott got me a Wonder Woman card that was adorable; in addition to some pj's and a short set! I was explaining to my son that I WAS WONDER WOMAN. Seriously people, I had the Underoos, the hay string for the rope and Mom would make me a head band and wrist bands out of foil with stars cut out of them. I was the real deal.

GiGi and Poppa got Bella and Caden the exact same toy that played music, so here they are trying it out on the couch.

Lane's Birthday Party

We went to Lane's birthday party on Saturday and had a blast! The kids played in the little elephant pool while the big kids played on a 3-D Shark Slip and Slide! We cannot believe Lane is now 6 years old! We love you buddy and had so much fun celebrating!
