I personally cannot stand carving a pumpkin and pulling out all the gunk that feels like brain matter or guts. Not that I have touched either, but had I, I'm pretty sure pumpkin insides would feel the same. Therefore I take the easy way out and just cram things in the pumpkin for decoration.
Mommy: 'Caden, give the pumpkin kisses.'
Caden: 'Okay, but first I need to check it out. Let me poke it.' 
'Okay Mommy, here I go...' 
'I'm kissing it!!! Take the picture, take the picture!'
Caden has been scared to death of this scarecrow. He has rammed toys into the scarecrow and walked a mile around him so as not to get to close to him. It cracks us up. He then graduated to just knocking it down and running away. Tonight I actually got him to conquer his fears! Mommy: 'Caden, give the scarecrow kisses.'
Caden: 'Again Mommy, I'm going to need to touch him. I'll start by jingling his little bells around his neck.'
'Okay, I'm going to take a deep breath. I can do this...I can do this.'
'I'm doing it! I am giving him kisses!'
'Umm...yeah, Mr. Scarecrow, I'm just going to walk over here now away from you. Nothing personal...'
'Yea! I love to swing...'
'Please, no more pictures, just let me enjoy the ride.'
'Did you hear me Mommy?'
'Take a picture of this Mommy...my drool, blowing in the wind.'

This sweet little boy!!! Can he get any cuter??? Caden, you are just too funny!
I love the one where he is touching the scarecrow....he is soooo cute! I can also relate with the comment of him running into things with his toys, they are soooo clever aren't they. Have a safe Halloween!
So what's going to happen when Caden wants to carve a pumpkin?? You crack me up. I love how Caden is kissing both the pumpkin and scarecrow while keeping both eyes wide open in case any sudden movements occur. A boy needs to enjoy swinging after that drama. LOL.
