2 Loves of My Life at Play

B.C. (before Caden), I remember having a conversation with my best friend Jamie about whether I would have a boy or a girl. I reallllllly wanted a girl and those of you who know me A.C. (after Caden) know that I cannot imagine a life without my boy. Those of you who read my blog know that Jamie has a son. She told me once that she loves that it is her and her 'guys'...I never got what the big deal about that was until now, or I should say August 22, 2007. I remember Tim leaving my side to go over to the table where they laid Caden after he was born and I remember the pride that I saw welling up inside of him. I still get that feeling when I watch them play. I totally get that now Jamie. I cannot say enough about my 'guys'. I never thought I could love my husband anymore than I did on August 21, 2007, then came the 22nd. Anyway, I just had to share. Here are some photos from last night.
Caden is super ticklish under his jaw and Tim was getting some kisses under the jaw last night. This picture was right before he got him!

Here he is getting that 'spot'.

I think the Olympics have inspired Caden. Not sure what event this would be though...

'I got a phone call Daddy, one sec...'

'It's a personal call I need to take this, WITH my thumb in my mouth.'

**As a side note: This morning he was playing with his Buzz Lightyear phone that Aunt Kay got him and the next thing I know I hear Tim's voice on speakerphone. He had gotten my cell phone and dialed Daddy! I picked the phone up and said, 'Hello?' Tim said, 'Yeah..' I said, 'Caden called you on my cell phone!'

Just a Box???

Upon first glance, one would assume this to be a simple box, which housed Mommy's new front facing car seat.
Upon further inspection however, it turns out Caden is inside!!!

'Get me out of the box Mommy and give me the cookie like you promised...the fun is over.'

Breaking the Law...Breaking the Law

So Tim and I broke the law, kinda, but who cares! We flipped our munchkin around to face forward and he LOVES it! We also broke the Pediatrician law and put Caden on whole milk. I mean, seriously...why would I buy an entire can of formula when he will be a year old one week from tomorrow?? Holy cow...I cannot believe he will be one in one week. Anyway, I am of the school of full disclosure so I had to tell on us. So glad I got that off my chest...it has been hard to sleep. I kid! I kid!So please don't send the Safety Police or the Dairy Police to my house. Thanks!

C.C.I. Tonight

As most kids do, Caden is fascinated with picking something up and taking it EVERYWHERE. Last night he grabbed a dish towel and just took off. It was on top of the counter in the kitchen...HE IS SO TALL! He loves putting a washcloth or in this case a dish cloth over his head and jerk it off and laugh.

This is the basket that Caden's small books are kept in. He dumped the books out and took off with the basket tonight.

'Am I in trouble for dumping the books out?'

Here are some cute pics of my guys tonight. I love them both more than words can say and it makes my heart sing when I watch them hang out or play together.

Caden the contortionist!

Something Familiar

Tonight while I was cleaning up the kitchen I pushed Caden's chair in there so he could see me. I gave him his cup of water and he did something familiar. Watch below, then click on the blue word 'familiar'.

The Many Faces of Cade Man

Caden continually cracks us up with all the faces he makes. I took these after we got home tonight which made for great posting. Yes I know there are a lot...deal with it!

'This is my goofy look as if to say huh?'

'This is what I look like when I first wake up.'
'This is my surprised look!'
'This is my 'you gotta be kidding me' look.'
'This is the look I give mom when I am fake crying...I do that a lot.'
'This is my giggly look.'
'My seriously serious look.'
'This is my I'm keeping my eye on you, look.'
'This is my very mischievous look.'
'Ladies and Gentlemen, those are the faces of me, Cade Man Ivey.'

OTHER RANDOM CADEN EVENTS FROM TONIGHT

Caden: 'I think I need to move some furniture Mommy.'

Mommy: 'No Caden, leave the chairs alone.'

Caden: 'You're such a downer Mommy, I thought you were going to be more positive.'

'I'm just going to run away from home...I've had it.' 'I change my mind, I love my toy too much to leave it behind.'

'Hey, abort the run away from home plan...I love my toys too much.'

Back in the Day #2

Here are some of Tim's pictures as a kid. The first one is with his Dad before they moved back to Texas.
Funny, Caden holds the phone exactly the same way. Caden also sits just like his Dad did!

Back in the Day...

My Mom just e-mailed these pictures to me of when I was a baby. Pretty crazy! I will not be dressing Caden in a dress to snap a picture for comparison, but it has crossed my mind! I do love it how he does not favor one of us over the other. It is interesting to hear people say 'Wow, he looks just like Tim, or Wow, he looks just like you.' We believe he's the perfect blend! Of course!

The Wiggly Play Center

Today a lot of people from our home team took their children to the Wiggly Play Center. We invited Jamie and Stetson to go with us too! The boys had so much fun and Caden was wiped out when we got home. Here are some pictures from our play date.

Here's Caden checking out the place.

He was mesmerized by all the bright colors.Jamie took a photo of me taking a photo of Caden! 'Squishy blocks rock!'
'Hmm...what next?'

'I think I'll build something.'

This random kid kept coming up to Caden trying to give him a kiss. Caden would have nothing to do with that! Maybe because Mom is a germa-phob?

Caden's best buddy, Stetson. 'I'm following Stetson, he knows how to play with these toys.' Navigating a 'step-up'. 'Uhh...Yeah, I'm going to need you to step out of the car and show me your license and registration.'
He got the hang of things really quickly so Mommy spent most of the time chasing him down!
'Hi Mommy, I'm having so much fun!' 'Whoo hoo, a ball! I totally know what to do with this!' 'My future wife Brooke and her Mom, Jamie.' 'Another shot of my future bride.'My Partner in Crime Mrs. Bloggerazi!

'I promise I won't leave or talk to a stranger.' Here's Stetson parking his car in the garage. He's dancing here. You can see his little hands in motion!
'Here is smiley Miss Halie'

'...and my friend Cooper...he's really smart!'

'Peace out guys...I'm headed home for a nap.'

Check out Jamie's blog for more photos of our day.
