We4Iveys in TN

So the Thursday after we first got to TN as a family, I took Caden to the TN Health Dept to have his shot records converted to TN shot records.  After that we headed to what would be his new school and got him all registered.  I was planning to send him on Monday of the next week.

After we got to the school and Caden got to meet his teacher, he asked if he could just start the next day, Friday!  We were shocked!  He headed to school the next day and said if we wanted to, we could just drop him off at the front doors!  We walked him in anyway!
I absolutely love the scenery here in TN.

Cameron unpacked a trash can while we were getting things settled and decided it would work just fine as a hat!
Thanks to cousin Bella, the stairs in our house we are renting were no big deal to him!  Up he went!
The road on the way to Caden's school.
We started at his new school just in time for the Kindergarten Program entitled Kindergarten Is Fun!  Caden is right in the center in the blue shirt on stage.
Cameron loves getting into boxes!  He took some friends with him this time!
Gorgeous day for playing in the backyard!
Trees line the backyard along with a creek behind them.
After moving here Daddy scored some tickets to a Predators game in the box.  Caden had a blast!
 Watching the game!

First Flight for the Boys

We thought it was so fitting that the boys' first flight would be to our new home in TN!

Here is Cameron waiting on our flight!
Cameron playing on Daddy's phone!
 Caden on the tablet!
They had a great flight!  Caden loved taking off and Cameron slept from the time we taxied down the runway until we landed in Nashville!  :)

Hotel Living & Hockey!

So after our house sold, we stayed in Dallas a few more days because Caden had a Zoo Field Trip planned to the Dallas Zoo.  We stayed in a hotel in Allen for the duration of our stay.

Here are some zoo pics!

Caden with his map of the zoo ready to go!
 Playing on the statues.
The giraffe exhibit was awesome!  They came so close to us!
 King of the jungle!

Here we are eating a fancy McDonald's dinner at the hotel!
Caden and Cameron entertained themselves in the hotel curtains!
Love this picture of our big Cade Man!
Cameron watching Caden show him how to hide!
Tim left the hotel briefly to run an errand and while he was gone I got an email from Caden's hockey coach in Dallas.  (We did not sign Caden up for the next wave of Mites hockey because we knew we were leaving for TN.)  The email asked Caden to participate in an on-ice performance during the intermission of the Dallas Stars hockey game at the American Airlines Center!  I was afraid the email went to everyone and that the coach didn't mean for Caden to receive it since we were moving.  I quickly emailed him to remind him we were leaving for TN and he said that he knew that but wanted to invite Caden anyway!  I texted Tim to tell him and we began rearranging some major plans that were already in motion!  We discussed it quietly so Caden couldn't hear us and decided that this was an opportunity we could not deny Caden of.  Tim called his representative with the relocation package through Marriott and we completely changed our flights all around.  The problem was that Caden's hockey gear was on an 18 wheeler headed to TN!  Tim decided to drive my car to TN and then fly Caden's equipment back with him to Dallas so we could attend the event.  My Mom drove up to Dallas to go with us and we had so much fun!

But first, Caden had to practice with his old team for the big event!

Here he is practicing.
This boy loves him some hockey!
Mom stayed with us at the hotel so we could all be together and use her car since my car was already in TN!

Here they are headed for the car with the hockey equipment on the big night!
Tim and Caden waiting to head to the locker room at the AAC!
Not a great picture but he is the second one at mid-ice in the black jersey and white helmet.
After the performance he got to join GiGi and me in the stands!  He was so excited!!!
GiGi and Caden watching the Stars game.  It was GiGi's first hockey game!
We3 minus Cameron!  My friend Karen watched him while we attended!
We had so much fun that night and were so happy that we didn't pass up this opportunity.  Caden will never forget it.  He got to even see some Dallas Stars players head off the ice right beside him and came home with a 'swag' bag!

Goodbye 4016 Garrison Place

Seeing the SOLD sign on our house made it so much more official!  We will miss everyone in
TX but are so excited to see what lies before us in TN!  Goodbye Plano!
Cameron and I had to go for a walk to stay out of the packers/movers way!
Nothing left of the media room closet but some wires hanging down.
 9 years worth of memories.
Nothing left in the kitchen but boxes.
