Thanksgiving Weekend

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Conroe with my family. We had a great time and had Thanksgiving dinner at Kari and Scott's home.

Here are the little monkeys coloring together! We attempted some group photos since we seem to never have all of us together at once.

Kari, Avery, Caden and me.

We 3 Iveys!
Us and the boys!
Scott, Kari, Bella and Lane.
Caden loves anything that makes noise, so here he is with GiGi attacking the wind chimes.
Mom and Dad have an orange tree at their home and it has been there ever since my Mom was a little girl. It has only produced oranges the past 4 years off and on. Dad got on the roof and decided to pick them all and Caden had to help of course!
Here is Dad on the roof picking the oranges.
Caden was a big helper with the oranges. Poppa would toss them to the ground and Caden would pick them up and put them in the bucket!
Here he is waiting patiently for Poppa to drop some more.
Caden had to follow Poppa to the barn to put the ladder up.
Look at all these oranges!
Everyone but Mommy and Caden sampled the oranges. Caden just enjoyed gathering them up!
Daddy put some oranges in Caden's pockets and he walked around with them for a while.

Caden's Thanksgiving Luncheon

Tim and I attended Caden's Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday and had such a great time watching Caden in his 'school setting'.
Here is our little Pilgrim! Here he is finding his own chair to sit down at.
Here he is showing me his place mat he made. It had an Indian and a Pilgrim on it made with Caden's hand prints. He also had stickers all over it as well.
'Hey Mommy and Daddy, this is a pumpkin. It's a decoration for the table,
but I am picking it up just to show you.'

Chillin' in his chair with all his friends.
Here they all are doing their program. Caden has learned so much while at Canyon Creek. We were so proud of him. HOWEVER, this particular day he just sat most of the time through the program looking at Daddy and me. Toward the end when they all stood up he got with it a little more! Oh well, he did keep his pilgrim hat on the entire time! Here he is looking at us to make sure we are not going to leave!

Wordless Wednesday Winner: Aunt Kay

'Uh Mom I don't know how to break it to you but I am eye level with your zipper and your cows are getting out. Will you please zip it before you embarrass me
in front of all my friends at MDO? Thanks!'

Random Pics From This Morning

'Mommy, have you forgiven me for saying I was thankful for God and Dad yet?'

My smiley guy!Caden is wearing his new shirt from GiGi and Poppa. He was growling like a bear when I put it on him!

The 'O' faces of Daddy and Caden!
He was saying 'CHEESE!' while looking AWAY from the camera! This morning I put the camera away after snapping the photos and he said, 'Mommy, More Cheese!' since we tell him to say cheese at the camera!

GiGi and Poppa Visit

Poppa and GiGi came for a quick visit this weekend and we had a great time. Dad and Tim got our fireplace ready go for the winter! We cannot wait to have a fire tonight with all the cold weather that is now here!
Here is GiGi and Caden reading a Thomas the Train book that Aunt Kay sent to him.
I captured a short video of GiGi playing ball with Caden. He was having a blast with it bopping him on the head!

We did not take many pictures, but since I haven't blogged all weekend, here's what you get!

Thankful

Here is what Caden brought home from school yesterday. I was literally on the phone with my sister ranting and raving about how Caden will obey Daddy any time Daddy looks at him funny and I have to keep harping on Caden all the time and he might behave for me. I opened his backpack at a stop light and this just confirmed what I thought all along. He's thankful for God and Daddy. Fine...I know where my place is now! I will just let God and Daddy handle Caden from here on out. One of his teachers said that one student in the class was just thankful for peanut butter! HA!

Day at the Park

Caden attends Mother's Day Out at Canyon Creek Baptist Church Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays Sara keeps him. Sara is a teacher at MDO as well and we LOVE HER!
Caden loves her 3 kids, especially JACK! They are partners in crime! Last week Sara took the kids to the park to play and she sent me some photos while they played.

Here is Caden and Sara's oldest daughter Micheala. He loves 'Kayla'!As Sara called them, 'The Motley Crew'!
Caden heading down the slide!
Caden loves his Mrs. 'Sassy' as he calls her! It is so nice to know that he loves the person that cares for him when we are at work. We love their family so much!

I Can Transform Ya

I have the cutest video of Caden dancing to the song called I Can Transform Ya this morning in the car on the way to school. However, this stupid blog will not let me upload it here. So, if you happen to be my 'friend' on Face Book, please go to my wall to view it. If you are not on Face Book and would like me to email it to you, please email me at ambercrombieivey@hotmail.com and I will be happy to forward it. I do not care if you are a stranger or not, the video is priceless! I will not mind getting an email requesting the file!

Halloween Festivities

On Halloween we took Caden to the Hunters Glen Baptist Church Fall Festival. The church is literally right down the street so we all walked. We were not sure how much fun Caden would have given his buddies Lane and Bella were not with us!

'Come on Mommy and Daddy! You are all too slow! Let's go! Let's go!'
'I'm not petting the mini horse...it's not even a real horse, I mean, MINI? Whoever heard of such! I want a Quarter Horse like Poppa used to have, that's a real horse!' 'Hmmm...Mommy and Daddy won't let me throw my pumpkin around the living room at home, but this guy is telling me to roll it into some pins and I win candy!'

Here's a video of him doing what Mommy never lets him do!
The church had this huge slide that Caden had to try out. Tim was planning to climb up it with him but Caden wanted no part of that. Here he is climbing up the slide all by himself.
'Move over Snow White, Caden is coming through!'
Check out the video for yourself!

He loved this slide!

Next it was off to the obstacle course. Caden could totally play in the NFL one day! He loved tackling this course!
Here is the video of him plowing through!

Here he is crawling through the tunnel to get out of the course.

We even got ourselves a group picture while we were there.Caden had so much fun playing at the Fall Festival. Here he is posing with the mini pumpkin in the tree.

'Okay, let's wrap it up parents...I'm ready for the next party.'
'Seriously guys, I'm worn out...'

Here are my guys walking home after the Festival.

We stopped for a picture of me with Caden. I thought it turned out cute!

and one with Daddy and Caden....
After we got home, we grabbed a bite to eat and headed to the next party. Tim's boss George and his wife Judy have an annual Halloween party that we were invited to. We did not take pictures at the party, but Daddy and Caden decided to spike their hair for the occasion.

We had to get a picture of the profile!
We had a great time and for those of you who are wondering, we did not dress Caden in his costume because he already wore it at Mom and Dad's Fall Festival, plus it was warm Saturday night and jeans and a t-shirt work better for all the physical activity he participated in!
