I was just talking to Jamie about this today. Caden has this fascination with shoes. If you leave a pair out on the floor, one of them is going to end up in another room courtesy of Caden Cole. He especially loves his Daddy's Nike's.

I love this picture because we think he looks so grown up! He also looks like he has done something wrong.

'I can't wait to grow up so I can wear shoes like Daddy's.'

'Until then, I'll just have to settle for carrying them around.'

'Are you following me Mommy?'

'Okay, I'll stop and let you catch me.'

'Time to carry my shoe around now. It is much lighter!'

**UPDATE** Caden Cole

I picked Caden up this afternoon and he seems well! His little nose is not running as bad as it was yesterday! I think he is finally on the mend! I did buy him a new humidifier today that is shaped like an elephant! I cannot wait to hook it all up!

This is a toy he got from Steve and Laura that is a t-ball type toy. As you can see, Caden has not grasped the concept of the game yet!

Caden Cole

Caden had a rough weekend not feeling well so we all stayed in and let him rest. I did take a few photos of him that I will post tonight. He is doing better this morning which is great, but last night was not so fun for our little one.

He did do a few cool things over the weekend despite being sick though! Caden does not like picking snacks up with his hands to feed himself. He picks up other things so it is not that he can't he just won't! Well yesterday I was feeding him some ravioli with a fork of course and when I got close to his mouth with the fork he took it out of my hand and I thought 'Oh great, food is going everywhere!', but to my surprise, he just stuck the fork in his mouth, ate the ravioli and handed the fork back to me as if to say, 'more please.'! He finished all of his ravioli just like that! Feeding himself! Tim was outside at the pool and I ran out to tell him to come see him and Caden continued feeding himself! Cracked us both up.

He can also point to his ear, nose and toes when asked to as well! Such the smart one!

Little Caden

I took Caden to see Dr. Berry today. He has had this lingering cough and runny nose for over a week. She gave him some Zithromax enough for 5 days (lasting 10 days) and said he should be better in 72 hours! Let's hope so! Mommy and Daddy had a rough night last night with our little munchkin.

You can totally tell he is not feeling too well.

Backpack from the Reaves!

Caden got another birthday present today in the mail from Uncle Scotty, Aunt Kay, Bella and Lane! It was ordered before his party and just arrived!!

'Oh boy, Oh boy! What could it be Mommy? Open, Open, Open!'

Is this not the cutest backpack? I love it!

It even has his name on it!

'Mommy, first I need to take it for a spin on my Mickey plane.'

'Ready for school Mommy!'

'Hang on Mommy, I'm going to stand up so you can see me walk with it.''So heavy.........!'

Swinging in the Tree and the Rock Concert

Brian, Andrea and Jamisen came over on Labor Day and we grilled and hung out by the pool. Afterwards, Brian and Tim put Caden's swing up in the front yard. It is a total hit with Caden! In fact, tonight as I was pushing him in it, I would grab the swing from behind so that I could push it higher and he would start to cry because he thought I was taking him out of it! Cracked me up!

'I'm digging the swing Mommy...'

'Stand back Mommy, I'm coming atcha!' 'I'm not sleepy Mommy...'

'Seriously Mommy...I'm totally awake....'

'Do I look sleepy???'

'I'm just resting my eyes....still not sleepy.'

'I'll just turn away from her and she won't see me sleeping...'

Sweet little feet...

After the swinging and after much protest, we went inside and he played with his light up drum from GiGi and Poppa. I wish the picture had sound because we had the drum going and the little guitar thing in his hand playing this one song over and over...(Thank you Aunt Kay). It was a rock concert in our very own living room.

'Mommy, I'm just going to push it one more time...just one more time. Why is smoke coming out of your ears?'

Here is a flash back to one year ago today. I put Caden in this Old Navy onesie and remember thinking, 'Okay, I need to take the pictures quick because I don't want him falling off the couch!'.
