Texas Weather

Any of you who live in North Texas probably got some crazy wind, rain, hail or other crazy weather last night. We live in Plano and about 3:45 AM we were awakened by our house sounding as though it were buckling. Tim and I jumped out of bed and turned on the weather and whether they confirm it or not, we believe we had a tornado literally right in our neighborhood! The windows were creaking and we looked outside and it looked like someone was using a spoon to stir the tops of our trees. We called Grammie (Tim's Mom) to warn her about the weather also. The ironic part of this rambling story is that I spoke with my Mom this morning on my way to work and she asked if we had bad weather last night because she could not sleep and was troubled and awake while we were having our crazy weather. She prayed that God would place a hedge of protection over our home. Amazingly we had no damage that we know of but our neighborhood had trees all over the roads, power was out in major intersections. Mrs. Sarah (Caden's Daycare lady) had a tree split in half laying on her home. It was like a mini war zone. Anyway, once again we are shown how the power of prayer works even though you are unaware people are actually praying! Yea God!
