Happy 2nd Birthday Caden! Mommy and Daddy love you so much and cannot believe how fast time has flown since you were born! We look forward to celebrating with you today and for many more years to come!

Daddy went grocery shopping and brought back some Twinkies for Caden to try. He was a little hesitant at first, offering it to Tim and me to try, but after his first bite he was hooked! He had 2 over the weekend! Thanks Daddy for bringing a new snack to Cade Man's menu!

Out of the Cage!

Today Tim decided to let Puff out to fly around and just hang out, outside of the cage. I think it did our feathered friend some good because he actually allowed Tim to hold him and seemed much more comfortable than the last time we let him out!

Caden enjoyed watching Puff up close too! He would walk up to Tim and say, 'Sit? Sit?' so he could sit in Daddy's lap and see Puff.

May I Take Your Order?

Grammie came over today and brought Caden a surprise! It is an Elmo Restaurant/Kitchen! It comes complete with a cash register-which I know Aunt Kay will want to take home-,spatula, pretend pizza, burgers, cookies, broccoli and play money. Caden had a blast playing with it and checking everything out on it.

Here is a picture of the Elmo (Restaurant) side. The skillet sizzles when you put it on the burner and Elmo talks also!

Work-Related Injury Part Deux

Back in March of 2008, our adorable little Cade Man did this<--click there. About 2 months ago, the pain came back like the day it happened to me! I headed to the Eye Dr. and she gave me some ointment to put in my eye every night for 2 months until I came back to see her. First of all (To all the Ladies Out There)-Ointment in the eye reeks havoc on putting makeup on your face the next day! You feel like you can never get all the stuff off your eyes! Your eyeliner just smears and then half way through the day you can look at yourself in the mirror and the residual ointment has some how caused the mascara and the eyeliner to get all over your eye lid! I DIGRESS...

Anyway, Friday I went back for my 2 month follow up appointment. I told her if I forget to put the ointment on at night, I wake up in pain. Her theory is that if it is pain-free as long as I am using the ointment then why make a change? I was not liking the idea of continuing the ointment even though-when used-it does help...UNTIL she mentioned Plan B....

Let me just get to the point - scraping the cells around the scratched cornea and then allowing my eye to heal. I thought for a half of a second and said, 'I'm good with the ointment...I totally agree with that treatment plan.'

Despite the Circumstances...

Tuesday night I drove down to Conroe to go to a childhood friend's funeral. Despite the circumstances of my trip, I enjoyed getting to hang out with family and see some friends from high school I have not seen since high school!

Mom and I went shopping Wednesday morning and met up with Kari, Lane and Bella at one of my old favorite places to eat there called The Garden. We had so much fun chatting and playing with the kiddos! Tim kept Caden back at home and we sure missed them! The Sistas!
We had to do a crazy face picture with GiGi! Although Miss Bella was serious for both!

Mom, Kari and I stayed up until after 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning talking and laughing. We had so much fun telling old stories and catching up. It was a great time...'despite the circumstances'.
