Saturday

On Saturday MiMi, Sharon (MiMi's best friend) and I took Caden to see Santa at Preston Center. We did not have to wait too long in line which is shocking, but we had a great time. I remember seeing this mother last year making an absolute fool of herself trying to get her son to smile in Santa's lap, all the while the poor child was having a major meltdown. I swore that day I would never be that Mom and I held up that end of the deal on Saturday. (I reasoned that if someone sat me in a clown's lap I would lose my mind and someone had better come and get me. I have a serious fear of clowns (no lie). It is called Coulrophobia.
Caden was too busy people watching in this photo.
'Uh...yeah...Mom, you should come and get me now.'

'LIKE RIGHT NOW MOMMY! I like our Santa at home better because he doesn't hold me and I can run away and turn him off by stepping on the red button!!!!'

It all happened so fast! The entire ordeal lasted less than a minute, seriously! I snapped the last picture and snatched him up from Santa. Then he stopped crying waved goodbye and blew him a kiss! Thanks MiMi for a wonderful time with Santa!

This is such a beautiful Santa! This are still priceless pics that you will treasure years to come. I wouldn't have made him sit there any longer either. I'm wondering what he did when he got home and saw HIS Santa.

Poor Caden! Santa is so much more enjoyable from a distance. Do you think that's why he comes to your house in the middle of the night while you are sleeping?

So precious. He will enjoy looking at this pic. of him crying when he is a little older and loves Santa to death!! Too cute, can't wait to kiss those cheeks.

Poor Caden, Santa is a bit of an odd figure in real life for a little guy. Next year you'll want to give him a big hug I'm sure.
