Here is a picture of him when we were in line and he caught a glimpse of 'the one that brings Easter goodies on Easter morning'.
'Mom, I know you're calling that thing an Easter Bunny, but he looks nothing like my stuffed bunny or the bunnies we see in our yard and unless you put this stroller in reverse, I will show you the true meaning of toddler meltdown.'
With that, I walked Caden up to the bunny and I even sat down with him and he was clawing my neck, turning red, screaming crying and ready to get the heck out of Dodge. We then decided to play in the play area of the mall.
'I'm outta here and there better not be any bunnies waiting to greet me on the other side.'
'Okay Mommy, I looked both ways. No bunnies in sight.'
'I would much rather crawl around the floor than sit with someone that has eyes bigger than my head.'
'See, now this is what I'm talking about. This is some sort of animal of which I can't identify, but it's not moving or waving or talking to me.'
I love this photo of him, it is as if he's posing.'Now here's what I call fun Mommy...no more tears, just plain old fun. Can't you tell by my smile that this is way more fun than sitting with that Alice in Wonderland-scare the heck out of me-bunny?'
After we played in the play area we went upstairs for cookies and lemonade.
'I could have totally taken that bunny, but lemonade rocks and so do cookies.' 'Mommy, I promise I'll do better with Mr. Ears next time.'

He looks so grown up!! The Easter Bunny is scary and you are such a good Mommy for making his experience fun by taking him to play and then for lemonade and cookies. Just don't say Easter Bunny for a while! :)
He he, great narrating Amber. :) Better luck next year Mr. Easter Bunny!
Yes big bunnies can be very scary. Love the big brown eyes. Maybe next year.
That is too funny, I have noticed the last few times we have been in really crowded places Luke's eyes well up....he's like Caden normally not scared of a thing!
