While Daddy Was Gone to Europe...

Tim left for Eastern Europe on February 16th and was gone for 10 days.  I had all these fun plans in my head for We3 left behind...however, none of them materialized...

Here is Cameron the day that Daddy left.  We had to wear our I Love Daddy onesie just for him!
I picked Caden up this same day from school and took him to McKinney to get some practice skating time in.  He had a blast showing off for Mommy because normally this is Daddy and Caden's time to skate!  Tim was texting me from the airport in Houston (where he was connecting on to Frankfurt).
I will try to help you all keep up with the fun  time we had while Daddy was away!  Daddy left Thursday, February 16th and on Friday, February 17th Cameron had an appointment for a re-check of his ears from his last double ear infection.  I took him to Dr. Berry and he was all clear!  Let the fun times begin....NOT.

So then on Saturday the 18th, Caden had his Hockey Class in McKinney.  He had started coughing the night before, this rattly bad cough.  After his hockey class, I called Dr. Berry who now happens to be open half days on Saturday, and she could get him in at 11:15.  So I headed to Dr. Berry who checked him out only to find out he had Bronchitis.  Lovely.  To CVS we went to get some antibiotics.

Here is Caden before the Dr's visit.

He helped cook some burgers on the George Foreman grill for me that night!  Such a helper!
Sunday the 19th, Cameron's nose started running and he started coughing!  I was in disbelief!  REALLY?!  Daddy goes out of town and both my boys get sick???  Here is Cameron on the floor on Sunday playing.
Here are the boys before bedtime Sunday night.
I know this picture is blurry, but you can see in his eyes, he is not well at all.
Monday the 20th was a holiday so our offices and both the daycare and Caden's school were closed.  I headed to the Dr. to take Cameron in to see what in the world was wrong with him.  Dr. Rylie saw him and concluded that he had a bad cold.

Caden was on the exam table playing with my phone and snapped this picture of Dr. Rylie explaining the cold to me!
So Tuesday came and I stayed home with Cameron because he was coughing more and just didn't feel well.  I sent Caden to school because the Dr. said he was on antibiotics and would be good to go.

Then on Wednesday morning I got up fully intending to go to work myself, send Caden to school and take Cameron to daycare.  But...as fate would have it Cameron was much worse...he had coughed all night and was just miserable.  I was panicking because the Dr. said that bronchitis mainly in adults that is passed on to babies turns into RSV for babies.  I was watching him like a hawk and listening to his every breath!  I called the Dr's office Wednesday and they said to bring him on in.

Here is my sick 'happy' baby in the waiting room.

Dr. Berry checked him out and to my surprise he now had another double ear infection!  I was nearly in tears and completely sleep deprived!  Again to CVS we go to get more antibiotics!

Here is Cam that night when I literally laid him down, filled up the bath tub for Caden and walked back into his room and he was out.
He had another awful night of coughing and drainage, etc.  Here he is on Thursday morning.

So now we are 8 days into Daddy's trip to Europe and the only time I left the house was to go to Caden's school, their Dr's office and CVS.  Dad called and said he wanted to come up and visit (Mom was working) so he drove up Thursday to stay one night.

Here are Poppa and Cameron.  I'm glad he was able to come up.  That Thursday night we were Skyping with GiGi and Cameron started coughing and could not catch his breath!  He turned red, the whole 9 yards.  I was glad Dad was there to help out.
Since it was Thursday and I wanted Caden to get some practice time in, so Dad and I picked him up from school and headed to the rink.  Dad watched Cameron while I focused on Caden.

Here he is giving a 'thumbs up' to Daddy!  We sent Daddy pictures the entire time he was there and we were able to Skype with him every day!  I was trying to be so up beat telling Tim that all was well, although both the kids were sick, etc...it was just not fun!
We stopped at the store on the way home from the rink and Dad bought Caden a bat and ball, so they played outside Thursday night!
Poor Cameron was still so sick and would just fall asleep wherever you laid him down at.
Here is Poppa and Cameron on Friday morning.  Dad fed Cameron and laid him down while I took Caden to school Friday.
Dad left and then Mom came up Friday night and stayed through Sunday morning.  She and I took Caden to his Hockey Class on Saturday.  Caden was in the backseat with GiGi and Cameron and took these 2 pictures with my phone!

We got to the rink and Grammie met us there.  Here I am with my 2 sick boys.  I can just see in my eyes how tired I was!
We headed to the mall after the class because I was going stir crazy.  Caden and I got into one of those photo booths where you pay money and get the 4 poses.  We paid the money, it took our pictures, then it printed out white paper.  Bummer...we lost our $3!  So GiGi took this one picture of us that night!  This was one of the poses we had intended on PRINTING OUT!
Here is Caden pretending to be asleep on GiGi!
We used Allison's (Jamie's sister) idea of one Hershey Kiss per every day Daddy was gone.  Caden so looked forward to coming home and not only counting them but eating them!  Here he is on Sunday morning eating the final kiss!  Daddy was coming home today!
OH, and Mom made some Monkey Bread which was delicious!
Thankfully Daddy came home safely!  Caden and I made a poster for him that GiGi picked up and we had a balloon and the poster on the back door when he came in!

I was soooooooooooooooo happy to see Daddy!  He had a great time and brought back lots of fun stuff for us!  I was so glad that we were We4Iveys again!

This Momma/GiGi was so sorry when the babies were so sick while daddy was gone. Just wished we lived closer so we could be there quicker when we wanted to visit or when we were needed. I'm so glad all is well now that daddy is back!

Whew! I'm tired just reading that! For whatever reason, everything always seems to "fall apart" at the worst times. You did a great job keeping it all together, though! Welcome home, Tim!
